It is a horrible dance.
You have that right Mike!

Just ordered some 1" adapters, that'll give me 1/4" more overall backspace. I may try and get the 1.25" adapter turned down to 3/4" or 7/8" if I have the meat. I'll see where the extra 1/4" gets me.

Small update last night, tore the 3rd member out, and put the detroit locker uit in there. New bearings and seals also, sorry, I never took pictures.

I then tore out my gas tank to replace the single walbro with the two Racetronix pumps. I didn't get it finished totally last night, should have it back together tonight for that.

Curious to see how you are fitting twin pumps.

Mike, never took pictures, phone was in the house, kept the wife from texting me, haha. The hanger is something I made (way back in the thread). Both pumps are sandwiched together, and barely fit, but they fit.

I've been running just one pump, but with some winter upgrades, and building a new house, I wanted to get a few things buttoned up before the summer.

My 1" adapters for the front wheels were delivered. I am going to mount them and see if I gained enough clearance. Even if I didn't get any enough clearance, it will be more than I have. So I will run it for a while. I may have to re-drill the hubs with the 5 by 4.5 inch bolt pattern and just use a different thickness spacer to get the backspace that I need.

I also need to get the fuel tank back in, and finish troubleshooting the Alky pump PWM relay. Then road test it Friday, wash it, and go to Denis Kirbans open house on Saturday.

That's if the trans and rear fixes and upgrades are good with no issues.

Update time. Last night I attempted to finish installing the fuel tank. After getting the fuel tank in the car, and the straps tighten down, I decided to operational check the pumps before buttoning everything up.

It's a good thing I did because when I turned on the key, I heard pump noise but got no fuel pressure. Then I got to thinking, I never double-checked the polarity of the new racetronix pumps. Nowhere in supplied documentation does it state that the pump wires are opposite of all the other pumps. Not a big deal, but just pissed me off because I had to drop the tank and pull the sender assembly just to flip the wires.

In the end the pumps work great, though my base fuel pressure is up a couple PSI. I will reset that so I do not throw off the tune.

So then I swapped out the Chrysler PWM fan relay which is used to drive the alky pump. So now the alky pump primes like it is supposed to, and should spray when I need it to.

I opened up my wheel adapters, and realized that they have 12-1.25 mm wheel studs, and I already have 1/2-20 lug nuts. I'm going to pull the studs and see if I can change them out to 1/2-20. I did mount them up on one side, and it pulled the wheel in it looks like just enough. If I go in any further, the backside of the rim looks like it will contact the upper control arm.

Never ends, got the one inch spacers in there, and the back of the wheel hours the upper control arm. At AutoZone getting standard upper balljoints in hopes it drops the a arm enough to clear. So that would cause me to do an alignment again. Well in a few hours after I swap one out to see if it works.

Well, next update. The old wheels are going back on. There is just no way to make those 17x9s fit on the front with this suspension. So, I mounted all the tires on them, balanced them, and I am giving them a color change with some matte plasti-dip. I run these till I figure out the next set of wheels.

I know, plasti-dip? Well, I don't have time or the money right now to do the color change on the wheels properly. With building a new house and garage, I have waaayyyy more important things to be doing.
