Hi everyone... Im new to this Forum. I love these Cars. I have an 81 Grand Prix LJ, T top car. Used to be my daily driver. Its been parked for a really long time and I had dreams about turning the car into a cool Pro Touring car. After my car got parked I ended up buying a Jeep and I changed and turned into a huge off Road and outdoors guy. Anyway. after all these years Ive realized that there are not enough hours in the day or money to get all the projects done that we would all like. I also see a lot of Guys mostly that Ive met that seem to collect projects and not get any of them ever done. I don't want to wish that certian projects were done. I want them to be done and enjoy them with my family. So I have decided to sell my car. Hopefully to someone that won't crush it.

I don't have the Engine or Trany any more. was a factory 267ci. The interior is gone to except the dash and a few trim panels, Mice would have gotten into it anyway. My goal was for racing seats and a Roll cage. I still have the T tops, New Rocker panels for the car and a new set of V8 Hooker headers for the car, along with a new Rad.

I also have a Factory Service Manual, owners Manuals, and a dealership booklet.

I realize this might be a pipe dream that someone might want this Project. But I really don't want the car to go to a crusher. That seems to be the only responce Iv'e had so far.

It looks to have good floors, crack free dash... there are some things going for it.

Did you keep the wheels/tires, lights, side windows, bumpers and bumper covers, looks like fenders maybe other body parts that are missing from the car?

The pic you had looks pretty stripped down... I'm no expert on your local market, but around here, GP parts are harder to come by than the other gbodies - especially in good shape.

Seats, carpet, and door panels are fairly easy to replace - another gbody can be the donor.

Missing guages... well, if you don't have that cluster I'm guessing/hoping none of its wires were cut in removal?

But in addition to the interior, to source all that sheetmetal, lights, wheels/tires, add a drivetrain, etc.... I mean, local to me, what I see in that pic is about 3 or 4 parts from being stripped to the point it gets recycled.

You may need to get some good pics of what rust there is, talk up the areas it doesn't - hopefully cowl seam, trunk floor, quarters, door bottoms, rear frame rails, wheelwells, t top roof under the black screw on trim esp near windshield etc are all rust free.

If all those places are rust free, you may be able to find someone with a rusty GP to use your shell as a donor and swap their parts onto. It's a huge undertaking though, so keep an open mind if/when someone local enough is willing to make an offer, even f substantially lower, is my opinion.

The back seat floor needs repair. The T tops leaked. I have pics I'll post later.

It needs a drivers side outer fender and hood. They were damaged.

The bumpers are in the car but the chrome was peeling. Needs a windshield. Glass is all there except the back corner windows. Got misplaced a long the travels.

I don't have the factory rims any more but I do have steel wheels on it now.

Trunk floor was rust free. All the rust is allong the bottom edge of the doors and rear quarters. I'l have to take pics. Car has been inside since it' been parked.

I don' have the gauges anymore. Intended to put aftermarket ones in. No wires were cut anywhre on the car.

Front headlights are gone and grill. I don' remember what happened to them

This would have been an ideal donor car....

It was listed quite awhile back in Prince Albert as running and driving but couldn't be put back on the road. Was listed at $500 if I remember correctly...

Please don't take this wrong but you need to get more realistic on the price if you want to sell. I had my 81 LJ with everything under the hood new for sale for a year - started @ $5000.00 and only got $3400.00 and it was mint w/ 53,000 mi's ( I will say it was 2 years ago)
