Copart is awesome. My uncle used to work for their Allentown PA branch for a long time and my extended family bought a ton of cars through them. None of the cars were perfect, but all had very repairable damage or strictly cosmetic stuff, like hail damage. My guess is collectively we probably saved at a minimum around $10k by buying Copart cars and having them repaired as opposed to buying new cars.
Off memory, I know my parents bought a Chevy Lumina and a Pontiac Montana, extended family bought a Ford Windstar, a Ford Explorer, a Chevy Silverado, a Buick Rendezvous, an Oldsmobile Intrigue, a Buick Lacrosse, and Buick Century. There are definitely more, I just can't possibly remember all of them.
My uncle has been retired for about 10 years now, but for a long time we got to drive new or nearly new cars at significant discounts by buying Copart cars though him.
