81 olds cutloose window felt

anybody have ideas how to replace these ? seems like old ones were punched into place .exterior ones i need help with thanx

Not sure if your 81 is that much different from my 84 that just had screws holding it on.

im talking the window rubber to the chrome sill .

The factory used heavy gauge staples.

Find some similarly sized staples, mark the locations of the original holes on the new piece and carefully drill some holes for the new staples.
Then pop the staples thru the holes and carefully bend them over. Make sure they bury themselves into the felt so that they won't make contact with the door glass and rattle or scratch the window.

my 85 cutlass felt was held on by screws from the inside of door #2 philps I believe
