83 Olds Cutlass Supreme Interior Swap

I'm not sure about the "swappability" of certain interior pieces. I swapped parts out of an 87 Olds Cutlass into my 83 and they didn't match at all.

Parts I swapped were the pillar moulding that runs around the Opera windows all head roof moulding , rear window deck from the plastic to carpet (didn't fit) . None of it matched up. On top of that I think the blue was a different color. Does anyone have any sites that carry any of these parts?


Advice?

Also any info on VIN/RPO Codes , finding what exact color interior/exterior I have?

as far as i all interior parts in a 81-88 cutlass should be identical unless it was a 4 door to 2 door. the front pillars should be the same on all g bodys. i have a complete navy interior out of a 84 cutlass i am selling if anybody is interested

Are you saying that the color did not match or that the parts did not fit?

I swapped complete interiors between an 81 Monte Carlo and an 86 Monte Carlo and everything fit fine.

I did a swap from an 84 to 81 Cutlass 4 DOOR. The only minor thing I did was cut out a tab on the front half of the dash that surrounds the gauges. There was a slight difference for the dash mounted wiper switch. Otherwise, it all fit.

The door panels came from an Olds and Pontiac (rear doors).

The dash, carpet , steering column and front seats are interchangeable between 2 and 4 door Cutlasses, but none of the other trim will fit. I have parts from a variety of years on my 85 and they fit just fine. I even have a nice set of seats from a 4 door-all I did was swap tracks and the outer seat hinge to make rear seat ingress/egress possible.
