Welcome Daca 214 & son; It's SOoo good to hear you & your son are doing this together. You will have instilled respect for the car in your son. He has something invested into it. With the work he has put in he will have Pride. And something not all his buddies have, exclusivity (my personal favorite). Enjoy, Ole' Bob.
thank you!!! I sure hope so! and if not..i got me a new G-Body!! woo-hoo! lol
on a serious note, i think he is really starting to appreciate it and the more i show him and make him do, the more eager he is to finish and take her for a spin

Hey guys. I havent really updated much because wife and I decided to knock a wall down and renovate our entire kitchen over the holidays. New tiles, cabinets, electrical etc etc. the whole kit and caboodle. My pops and I used to be GC’s up in NY so we done this a couple times :)

Anyway i did procur a ton of parts for the suspension mostly moog stuff
Today i removed the sway bar to replace those bushings and set up the new moog tie rods to match the old. I also continued painting POR-15 on the remaining frame etc.
the welder came last week and fixed the upper control arm housing where the previous owner drilled out for the hydraulics

I got my champion aluminum radiator as well

This car will be for my son so im making it mostly stock just with better quality parts

Hopefully next week the front suspension is all installed

Very excited today. Me, my father, and my son worked on car today and got a ton done. We got most of the suspension and front brakes installed with some minor issues though. I am waiting on new swaybar bolts i thought would arrive today but did not so i could not mount that with the new bushings
And the passenger side brake dust shield had some damage i did not notice when i painted where the rear seal would sit and i didnt want to take a chance so left rotors off while i search the globe for one

We also installed rear boxed LCA (thanks again timo22)

Anddddddd we got the champion radiator with new hoses and new overflow tank installed

I still need to pressure wash and paint underbody by fuel tank and the welder has to come by and finish rear stuff so i can complete rear suspension and instal fuel tank

One step close to rolling and test driving

Finally got some time in on the regal. Had the rear spring plates welded on. We customized the speedway motors spring plate to fit the pigtail moog springs

Painted the underbody area and axle

Next i can install gas tank and rear suspension and throw the rollers on

Looks good. As said the oil pressure gauge attachment is right of the oil fill tube, 1/8" NPT threaded hole. You either need to change the carb and distributor or hook all of the computer carb electrical and vacuum hoses as they were factory. If not, mileage will horrible and power, down as well, being pig rich. Plus the torque converter lock up will not function.

Thx man. Not knowing much myself i was trying to figure out what vacuum lines were missing
Car idles perfect and sounds good but i havent actually driven it yet so we will see once its on the road

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I tried to find some vacuum diagrams but not sure how accurate it is being the swap into the regal.

Every sensor and vacuum line needs hooked up or the computer goes into pig rich limp home mode. Is there a diagram on the top radiator plate? A factory service manual is a good purchase, just get an actual GM manual. My 88 Cutlass had the computer eliminated when I got. So it has a vacuum advance distributor, non computer Dualjet, (a late 70's Olds 350 or 403 carb is a nice upgrade for your car) and TCI lockup kit for the 2004R.

Hey guys

So got some work in on the regal. We were able to finish entire front suspension and brakes and out the rollers on. Just stock rims but i kinda like em

We found a ton of issues. While changing the pan gasket on saturday we noticed the rear transmission mount was rotted and the trans was NOT even connected to it. It wasnt even lined up and he had a stripped bolt shoved through the transmission housing hole. Probably broke from the hydraulics he had. We seen a small leak and was hoping it was from the front of the trans pan gasket dripping into the converter cover. I really hope thats it and not the front seal. We couldnt tell

Then the car wouldnt start. Crank but no start. I had already ordered new plugs wires cap and rotor because i was going to change anyway they look old and cap showed some signs of oxidation on the metal tabs but it did run last time when we first brought it home Its getting fuel and we have some spark but its not strong. Maybe coil? Idk
Frustrating

Should have rear suspension in this week and car on the ground finally

Hey olds 307. Sorry i didnt respond. Must have missed this. We are kinda having trouble figuring out all the vac lines because its a buick with an olds 307 and a computer controlled carb that doesnt have connections. I think the ecm is still for the original buick that came with a V6 3.8L
Im still figuring out what we need and dont need. It did start and run fine. Idled nice and smooth. So i know whatever precious owner had done worked.
I will be posting a new thread asking to see if anybody else had a regal with a 307 and what they eliminated
