replaced the 6 1.5" freeze plugs with new brass. coated the edges with rtv. should seal up nice.

whats a good set of header gaskets for this 307? Looks like the papery ones in use previously had some pretty significant leaks at the center ports

The picture isn't right but those should be right according applications.

They have the same bolt pattern. His 5A heads have similar sized ports with a very recessed center crossover port. Your 7A heads have smaller round ports but I believe regular gaskets will seal.

Sounds like you're putting it back together with headers. I vote for Thortons and dual exhaust.
