I'm considering installing an electric fan in my '84 Monte Carlo...

What exactly should I be shopping for ? How are they installed ?

I seen this on eBay for a reasonable price...think it's good ?

Both my Monte and Regal have Intrepid dual fans mounted to big radiators that don't have top plates.
On my Monte I made brackets and mounted them to the core support to hold the fans.
My Regal radiator has 1/2" extensions as part of the radiator so I cut the mounting brackets off of the fan and made new brackets to mount it directly to the radiator.

After all that, you should land somewhere in the $500-$600 range, to get it all right,
Oof.....$5-600....that's certainly one way to do it......

If it were me, I would pull intrepid/mark8/taurus fans at the local yard for $20, $30 deraile fan wiring kit.....and fabricate a bracket if I didn't already have the olds top plate.

This is the fan I bought for my Regal.

Not to further de-rail the thread, but I'll be doing this before to long. The electrical connector on those fans, did you source the proper connector from somewhere or did you cut it off and run something else when doing the relay wiring?

I cut the connectors off and extended the wires directly to the relays/ fuse panel I mounted up front
