I got an 84 ss from my brother and he said he did an emissions delete on it, only thing left is some of the harness that you have to remove the dash to take out. Said everything is unhooked and he put different carb and distributor on and all. It has the TH350 non lock up trans. It is not running the best and making some noises every once in a while. Where should i start and what all should i check to make sure that he did it all right and didnt forget something or whatever. He said he couldnt pin point what the problem is and doesnt have the time anymore to mess with it so its mine to get right now. He thinks its the engine and gave me a 350 block to build and swap in.

If he changed both the carb and distributor to a non CCC set up thats all that needs to be done.
Even if he left some of the emissions stuff in it should not be making any noise.
What type of noises is it making? ticking banging exhaust leak?
What type of carb did he put on it?

Removing emissions almost always turns a car into a basket case. You have to fully understand how the emission system works to delete it. A forum is not going to be able to help much as someone needs to inspect your car in person to see exactly what was done to it.
