Can someone please post the schematic for the HVAC control from 1985?
There's a red 12 ga that went to the starter. I'm thinking that I should put that to an ign feed; I'm pretty sure it's the main power for the high speed relay. I can't seem to figure out where the switch gets it's ign feed from as it comes from under the hood, not the dash harness as I would have thought.

The feed comes from the battery connection on the alternator and you'll find the connector at the passenger side valve cover near the front of the engine with the red wire and two (maybe 3) other wires. The red wire from that connection goes directly to the relay that feeds the blower motor. If that red wire is not connected the blower will not work on high

Yup, got all that.
I think I was looking for C219 which is in the dash harness. I remember unplugging it now...

Hi I'm in
Kind of a similar situation . Where does the thick red wire go to coming out of the relay. Someone cut mine an the blower doesn't work at all.

The red wire is the feed for the high speed blower relay; it needs constant battery power. From the factory, it was hooked to the big post on the starter. You can run it to the alternator stud or battery as well.
First check the fuse in the fuse panel. If nothing is working on yours, make sure you have juice to the motor wire and the motor has a good ground, first. Then, if that checks out, check the resistor pack that does the 3 speeds.

So this might be a stupid question. The purple wire going to the top of the blower motor should have power. Put a test light to it and nothing!!!
