New to the forum and to building cars. Ive been building motorcycles for 15 years, but its hard to ride my family around on a bobberor chopper. So its time to get it started.

Motor is a 350 olds with 64cc heads edelbrock intake and quadrajet, 200 4r trans, dual exhaust with xpipe. picked up the whees last weekend knowing id be buying a g body soon. Naturally i had t bolt the wheels on as soon as i got the car home. 17x8 front 18x9.5 rear. My dad had the steering wheel stashed in the barn for 25 years and it cleaned up really well.

That looks really familiar... Good looking car. Looks like a bucket seat interior too? What are your plans for the car? btw, like the wheels. They look good on that car. How solid is the body and frame?

It is a bucket seats console car. The body and frame are very solid. It could use a deck lid, and has a little rust in the drivers door, but the rockers, dog legs, and floors are spotless. Im going for a mild pro touring car.

Got the garage cleaned and the car inside today. The motor wont idle unless it fully choked. Im pretty sure there is an intake leak. I ordered gaskets, so hopefully i can get that issue sorted out. Its an olds 350 with edelbrock performer intake manifold, has anyone had any issues with those intakes warping?

Last night I was able to remove the carburetor and intake, clean all surfaces, rebuild the carb and get everything about 75% reinstalled. Hopefully this evening ill get a chance to start it up and get it timed and the carb adjusted.

Welcome to the forum. That's a good looking Cutlass to start on for a project. To be a motorcycle guy, you're moving right along with getting this Cutlass going. Lol.

Than you. I like to stay busy with a hobby or project, that way i dont get sucked in by my wife and stuck watching dumb tv in the evenings. Also, my dad is a car guy so he is assisting and motivating me.
