Hello! I've combed through the forums for almost 2 years now. So today I post my build. Currently bbn ibhave a repainted silver 85 gp. This was originally a white with blue vinyl top, blue interior. Old top has been removed, it was painted to match.
I have a pontiac 350 bored 60 and a voodoo cam, no to big.... it's a 350..lol, itvhas #16 heads ported polished, roller rockers. It was redone with a assortment of stock and aftermarket bits.... you pontiac guys out there know the value of that new old stock. The pistons, wouldn't you know it, had to be custom made. Yes I sprang for the forged pistons. THE ENGINE WAS BUILT BY LEN WILLIAMS AUTO MACHINE..... Barstow Oklahoma.
For the suspension I have gone with a ridetech level 1 full kit with lowering drop spindles, springs, all new sway bars, links, control arms(shocks and control arms are adjustable. With this I also bought the steering rebuild kit!
The transmission is a 700 r4 built to level 2 up to 550 hp handeling.... beef it up for longevity/future add ons or swap.
I'm still looking for a rebuilt ss rear with the 3:73 rear gears and posi... I'm still in need of headers or manifolds....any info on this stuff is we welcome!
Last, the chassis. She's a good egg paint was very well done,I'll add a few pics. The rust has been fixed on all doors and body panels, yes I removed the stainless panels and got it done, bottom of the doors were rebuilt. Only problem with the chassis is a, floor pan, and the front frame section has to be repaired when engine is swapped fuel to previous damage, planned on cutting off a new section from a bone yard, but it's just the front in front of the radiator housing so I might let the guy cut and fix what's there with a few patches.... so I have 75 percent of the parts including a fresh professionally built engine, and a great gbody....those GPS are getting hard to find in decent shape....

Any I deas or comments feel free!!!!!

I would look into Ram air exhaust manifolds. More than likely headers would have to be custom made for your car. The exhaust manifolds flow about the same as the headers would.

I've been seeing that on here, or custom fit a couple other options.... but I'll prolly be going through ram air option!

Thankyou! It's a labor of love..... the engine came out of my friends dads garage after sitting for 25years.... comes out of a 71 t/a ... at first it was a cool driver project but I travel for work. So now 15,000 in mostly due to that sweet poncho🤣, and I'm having trouble just cobbling it together, and fixing while driving. So I've accumulating all the pieces, and me and two buddy's are going to take a week and get her put together. Realistically, by end of summer I should have it assembled! However connecting everything, tuning it.....I'd say spring 2022 is going to be her first road trip/strip runs!

Very nice GP, love the motor choice and hopefully the 700R4 was built with every upgrade possible, they aren't a strong transmission. Most of us BOP guys go with the 2004R because it bolts right on our motors, including the drive shaft and can be built stronger.

The transmission choice was the builders..... it was a little cheaper and yes all upgraded parts, the best I'll ever put to the wheels is 550 hp 600 or so torque without a modern engine swap, or a ton of cash so the 700r4 with everything included I felt wasnt bad the transmission is not bought till friday, so I'm open to getting the 2004r best setup for that 350 is my build..... this is my driver/ keeper..... I might build another g, but this one is mine considering the money to build a poncho g
