I have a 305 L69 what are some upgrade parts I can put on ; I want horsepower and good drivability just for now

Horsepower and good drivability don't usually go hand in hand, you really want as much torque as you can get for better drivability, in a 305 it won't be much. Better breathing intake, stick with a Quadrajet, and better breathing exhaust with headers. Of course tire size, rear gears, transmission type will play parts in all of this too......

My first recommendation when someone asks about more power out of a 305 is to dump it and find a 350. You will be $$$ ahead.

Or start with bolt ons like an intake and exhaust that way you can roll that over to the 350 since it all interchanges.
