86 caprice

okay guys i am needing some imput. my moms car the 86 caprice.she stopped by my house and said her car was making a noise.i was in the garage came out and her solenoid was the noise the car was running and the solenoid on the starter was going. i am leaning towards the ignition . any one ever have this happend. thanks

could be the ignition switch on the column

But the solenoid may just be getting stuck

i was thinking the same thing. i pulled it in the garage and pulled the starter out. the back plastic of the solenoid was cracked. not sure what caused,i picked a new starter to throw at it in the am. if not then the switch or could be a broken wire . not sure.

it was the starter. installed the new one works as it should
