hello all! i just came into a 86 cutlass with a 305 engine. the car is mint inside n out all except it needs a kickdown cable as the one on there is stretched...how hard is it to change one? or even find one?

thats odd that they dont have one, TCI makes a universial one im pretty sure and you can buy universal ones all over, they should have it at your parts store its also called a detent cable

nah shouldnt be too hard, i think its like the 200r4 on that u dissconnect the cable from the throttle and the mounting bracket and then go down to the trans take out the bolt pull up the cable housing then i can see the cable and should be able to see it connected to part of the trans should be able to snake it off of there and then pull the whole shabang out of the car and install is just like removle, snake it down yander to the trans, dont hook it up the carb till last, much much easyer that way haha
