Question for you guys. On my 86 Cutlass, I couldn’t get the blower fan to speed up. Then while I was driving it started to speed up for a second, then slow down. It did this a few times, what could be the cause?
So I changed this today and it still didn’t work. Any other ideas on what could be causing this?Eric, in my 87 El Camino, the blower motor speed is controlled via a resistor that is mounted on the top of the AC housing in the engine compartment.
Check the ground wire, try jumping the ground terminal to the - battery terminal.
If you jump the 12ga purple wire on the blower motor to the battery + does it run faster?
