Apparently the 13/14 tvs 2300 blower off the 5.8 gt500's are worth 100 hp over the m122 heaton (what I have on mine that I bought in '15 for $200) on a 07-12 5.4 gt500. They are a direct swap. Like sub 1hr. Maybe 2hrs for my fabricobbled setup.

1200 is a kick in the pants and I don't need 100 more hp but it would be cool if I did....

I wouldn’t known if that’s a good price or not. But agree about your power comment.

How’s your ‘clutch tamer’ system coming?

And how are you holding the car on the line? Are you loading the driveline before the clutch dump/engagement?

It's an OK price but not a deal. If it was $600 I'd be all over it. They are $1400-$2000 if they have the TB elbow, which this one appears to not, and is another $150 so it's on the low end of reasonable. These tvs blowers are worth something to early gt500 guys since they are an upgrade for half the price of a VMP or whipple style blower.

The good news is the blower is in Fargo which isn't a performance hotbed so it probably won't sell really fast. Not a lot of early gt500's people upgrading.

No progress on the clutch valve. I am going to wrap up a few other small projects related to the exhaust I reworked and a little interior work and then move onto it.

I haven't been loading the driveline but I need to. I think I can get a linelock that's also activated by 1st gear and set up a clutch pedal stop so it's just starting to grab at the bottom of the pedal stroke. Then when I release the clutch it's already on the verge of grabbing and the valve can control the time it takes to fully couple.

Diddly squat interior update #97

Well this weekend wasn't as productive as last but I got my power seat wiring harness installed. 2+2's never got power seats but all g bodies have the power distribution box under the dash so I just snapped in a wire I pulled out of a 86 salon I got from the junkyard last week.

Pulled the seat, cut a hole in the carpet and reinstalled.

Might have to actually address my instrumentation project next.

I have been otherwise dumping my time for the last couple weeks in home renovation stuff (garage heater, running gas lines, electrical, drywall, blah blah) so not a ton to report.

Finally bought my rear 15x10's. Should be here Monday. I guess we will see how much, if any, frame not I end up needing.

Once I get these tires on and establish what level of notch I need, I'll likely get a set of shorter, stiffer rear springs. I'm actually really happy with where the front ride height ended up with uncut 5660's and tall lower ball joints but the rear end does sit high and when i load the trunk for drag weekend it really sags hard.
