Did u have to cut the 5660
If so how much to remain at your previous height
If not did they raise the car much over stock springs and the drop spindle

No cutting. The car was stupid low with drop spindles and lowering springs when I got it... mashed down on the bump stops low. Now with the 5660s and the drop spindles the car has actual suspension travel. However, I am going to replace the 5660s with the 5664 springs in the near future.

Great. What's the reason for the 5664 spring

Drove it to work today and it made it (gasp!)

Been doing a bit of tuning and logs. It has enough HP now to spin in 2nd gear and (maybe?) bottom of 3rd. Tough to tell. It wheel hops all over, needs some boxed lower arms I think.

Redoing the front suspension was worth it. Rides much better and although it is firm, it is much more comfy than my 4th gen. 275's up front road hunt and i think 245's would be better. Real alignment wouldn't hurt either.

My changes this winter did something though
-Went from 10.5psi to now 7psi with the new cam
-IAT's would start at 120 and the highest I saw was 140. I was at like 160-210 before the intercooler so it did help!

Well it's official, had a problem. Driving home from work yesterday the engine just randomly shut off. Though thats strange. Had gas, have fuel pressure. Just wont start and randomly died.

Open the hood and it blew the ECM fuse. Take the intercooler pump fuse out, put it in for the ecm, blows instantly. Wiggle wires, put 30 amp fan circuit breaker in (because thats all I have), starts right up. Happened this morning going to work about the same distance away from the final destination (like 1/4 mile, total drive is about 4-5 miles). Not sure if something is turning on or what is causing it. Had a 10 amp and put in a 15 amp just to be sure that maybe something was drawing a lot. Regardless I have to go hunting for a pinched wire or something. THATS going to be fun. Blah.

The pressure drop is from reduced restriction at valve (increased lift/duration) and the improvement in air density.

But, boo on it cutting out.

Great. What's the reason for the 5664 spring

I hate polluting other people's threads with asides. But, to sum up... controlling the mass of the tires/wheels. The wheels are 17x9.5s and tires are 275/40s - the same wheels/tires as a '91 Firehawk which no doubt had 5664-type springs. So putting in 5660s which are an S10 spring proved to be insufficient.
