I would love some advice on gearing combinations. here's the run down of what i have; '86 regal with an '06 lq4 and a street/strip cam. behind that is a th400 with shift kit and manual valve body. and in the rear is a ford 9" with 4.11 gears, posi and 28" tires. im planing on puting a single turbo on it and running a small amount of boost 5-8psi. im already hitting the end of the track with 200 rpm till limiter at 11.95. what gears should i go with to account for the extra power that i will be getting form the turbo. or should i look at a different trany 4l60e 700r4 and keep the 4.11s i have. Im sorry if this is a long post but i hope the info helps. thanks in advance

Turbo cars like the taller gears, they call it loading the motor. You're basically building pressure to keep the turbo spooled. I'm running a 3.25 rear gear. My good friend is running a 3.08 and hes almost trapping 150mph in the 1320.
