86 regal interior lighting

need some help i already replaced the headlight switch and still have no interior lights what so ever nothing inside the car lights up but everything outside the car is working fine? anyone have a solution i removed the headlight dimmer knob and check the harness plug and it does have power going to it so what can it be?

Did you check all your fuses?

It may sound odd, but take the bulb out of the dome light. I had put one in and everything went to heck. I'd push in my lighter and all the lights would come on. Took out the dome bulb, everything works fine. I must have a short in the dome light.
