I thought I recall hearing the rear end wasn’t coming out a couple pages back - haha.

I know you had a vibration at 70 and your tires were out of balance. Did you know the pinion was THAT bad? Did you have any symptoms? Just hard to comprehend that many teeth being gone and not feeling or hearing it.
I had zero idea the pinion was like that until I pulled the old carrier the other night. It had to have been that way when I bought the 8.5 years ago. Even during the resto I changed the diff cover, didn't see any metal in the fluid!
It made no noise as the ring gear rides on the center of the pinion gear.
The only hint of the issue was during slow speed turns (5mph or less) as it would make a pop or clank noise. I just checked it up as the powertrax locker doing it. I know now it was likely the pinion lol.
Just got back from dropping the rearend and parts off for rebuild. Anxiously awaiting a call already lol.
Got the rest of the sticker adhesive off of the new axles. Patiently waiting on a call, likely be next week though. The difference is wild between a stock 28 spline and a Moser 30 spline.

Fat shafts...if you can't hit bottom, at least scrape the sides.
