The brown truck brought me a gift today! This trunnion upgrade kit from Straub is really nice looking, such a shame it will be hidden along with the springs! I also picked up some class 12.9 socket head bolts for the rockers since a few of the stockers have jacked up heads! Now I just have to set aside some time to dissamble the rockers, clean 'em again, and assemble the new stuff.

So I've been waiting all week to see glass back in the Cutlass, and it's done!!! I put new trim clips on yesterday, and the glass guy showed up this morning to get it done. The windshield and rear window are back in and it's starting to look like a car again!

Afterwards, we tinkered around for a couple hours taking off the bumpers and bumper covers so they can be wet sanded before color goes on. My painter and I both had to stop early today, but progress is back on and hopefully by the end of next week it will be closer to spray time!!!!

Well it's been another productive weekend. I started working on the LS rockers yesterday to prep them for the Straub trunnion upgrade kit. My dad's neighbor has a nice wood shop, and a quality Wilton vise that rarely gets used. It only took me about 20 minutes to press out the factory trunnions.....

I then spent tedious time last night cleaning the rockers up before putting the new goodies in.....

I went over there today and spent some time getting the upgrade kit installed. It took a little longer than expected, but I wanted to ensure it was done properly. The kit is quality, install went as planned, and the rockers are now strong enough to handle the cam lift without the fear of needle bearings blowing the engine!!!! Now I need to get head bolts, maybe paint the heads, and get the pushrod length measured.
