it's all about the details, looking good brother.
Yep, thanks again for the tip using a heat gun. I hung the trim on my shower rod overnight to straighten it some, then taped it onto the bumpers to hold it still. Then, I peeled off about a foot or two of the backing, heated it up, stuck it down and moved on until done.

Looking good dude. I’ve heard of virgin seals needing broken in but this is a tad ridiculous. Almost like they got the composition wrong on the elastomer? Any markings on the packaging on where it’s made and made of?

And I hear ya on the skeeters problem. A bit counterintuitive here. After the two wettest years since records have been kept, we are having severe drought this year. You would expect the wettest years would bring out the bugs and buggers. Yet the skeeters, snakes, rats, mice, etc are all crazy thick this year. Wife and I were blessed to find this wonderful place in Ks with hills, trees, 10 acres, 2 1/2 acre pond but this year we can’t even think about taking a walk around the pond without applying 9 coats of deet first.

Garth, the seals are Metro brand and made in MN. The only markings on them are the PN#'s.
Living in the Ohio Valley here in Louisville sets us up for bad skeeter issues every year!!! Go figure, the rental we currently live in is in one of the worst areas in town for skeeter issues! No joke, the minute I step out back they literally start friggin swarming my legs and sh*t! My poor girls get tore up and can't even play out back even with DEET sprayed!!!

that's really starting to take shape, hopefully the balance between temp and skeeters will come around soon!

Wow, like Donovan I can't believe it's been a month since I've posted on the Cutty. Tbh, I haven't done anything more than pull the cover back a couple times. The weather has been rainy here, and the skeeters are terrible!!!

Also, the wife and I have been diligently working on buying another house. We've been in a rental for almost 3 years due to previous house issues (long story). Been hunting for about a month now and stacking any excess $$$ back for the house so therefore the Cutty parts pile has remained dormant.

However, as of this past Sunday we have locked in an offer on a nice place in our budget about 10 mins from our current place. It backs up to a golf course (awesome for me), has a really big 1 car attached garage (the pic doesn't do it justice), and plenty of yard to build a shop!!!! Needless to say, we're stoked, but reserved until we have the keys. Keep your fingers crossed for us, the next month will likely be a whirlwind and hopefully the Cutty will have a new home!!!!!

Hahaha, you're not the first to mention that! For those that don't know, I've been playing golf since I was a toddler and am fully equipped with the skills to return fire accurately!!!
Actually, the way the house sits would make it damn near impossible for that to happen. Someone would have to intentionally turn and aim.

Congrats! Also recently moved. Lots in coastal California are a little smaller than Kentucky! :ROFLMAO: A little bummed the place we got doesn’t have a RV side yard or 3-car garage, but has a big frontal area, so should be plenty of parking once we re-do the front.
