Well boys, it's been awhile since I've had time to work on the Cutlass. Work has been crazy, we've been redoing our finances, etc.
However, I was able to get a full day in today for a change. I was able to fight and get the door and roof rail weatherstripping installed. Honestly, I'm not happy at all with the Metro roof rail seals....they suck and look like crap!!!! I will be saving up for better quality seals down the road. We hard wired the window motors and got the glass all the way up, but now the doors won't shut all the way,:mad:!!!!

I also got the grilles installed, along with the corner and parking lights. I didn't bring any other parts with me, but it was a good day! Here are a few pics of the progress! View attachment 90097 View attachment 90098 View attachment 90099 View attachment 90100

Some advice....get the car to wherever it's going soon because that car cover has a good chance of scuffing the paint. Not today or the next, but over time if you leave the cover on, the wind ripples the cover and even the softest covers can rub on the paint. Keep an eye on those sharp corner areas.

Not saying it will happen, but something to consider. At least it's home so you can keep an eye on it.

Gotta be one of the sexiest colors on a cutlass ever
Haha thanks man! I'm a bit biased and have to agree, something about charcoal metallic colors on these cars....it just looks mean!!
Oh, and because I'm a dork I took this pic before I put the cover on it....

Duly noted man, thanks. I'm trying to figure out a storage solution. I might start a shameless "help Scott get a carport" go fundme !!!

Well guys, as expected the Cutlass being home has given me a boost of enthusiasm! So in between family obligations, I've managed to install the rest of the front lighting. Let me know what you guys think. I'm stoked with it so far!!!!

While spending over an hour doing some on-site shredding for a regular customer, I was going through old pics. So I decided to make a quick comparison pic. Here y'all go, old vs new front end pic.....

Thanks Darin, the compliment is much appreciated! On the plate to address also is the door seal issue. I snapped some pics yesterday and shared with Donovan to get ideas on how to resolve the problem. The doors get "tight" before they close, and in these pics they are latched. The strikers are adjusted in as far as possible. Also, the front edge of both doors are flush with the fenders.
