i have a 88 cutlass 307 y.vin i ordered a jet stage 2 chip. tried to install it to find it didnt fit. my prom chip is a 26 pin and both jet and hyper only make a 22pin prom replacement as im told. jet says i have a "odd ball ecm in my car. and there has never been a blank 26 pin made for them to program.. my q is would it be smart to replace with a used ecm with the 22 pin prom and use the new chip? i see many on ebay etc. but im unsure on what to do. my 88 cutlass is a 307 w 200r4/b&m stage 2 shift kit n 373 posi w true duals w h pipe. .the ones i see are for different makes/models but list same engine trans ccc etc thanks for your imput...
