got an early christmas gift this week which was a quick performance housing and axle package. was wondering which rear disc brakes some of you were using. it's a late large bearing set up,5/8 studs,35 spline. was looking at the right stuff zdcrdm1 package. seems like a good start less emergency brake stuff. any modifications needed? going in my 81 malibu with a warmed up street 350. thanks

I wonder if Ford Explorer rear disc brakes would fit ??
I believe they have built in parking brakes.
If this is an option,it would be easy to get parts, any NAPA or similar parts store would have you covered.

I put Wilwood 4 piston disc brakes on my Moser 9" they fit fine and clear my 15" wheels.

don't know if they would fit or not. just learning about the 9". i'm lucky enough to know a career mechanic and x racer that knows his stuff about the 9". you can get the kit with parking brake set up for about 80 bucks more. kits come with all brackets, bolts and all the hardware to install.

I also had Wilwood 12" brakes on mine when I first put it together. The stock 15" wheels fit fine. After I notched the frame, I bought 15" Billet Specialites Street lites with 5.5" backspace and they would not clear the calipers. I ended up with a package from Aerospace Components rear Pro street set up and it cleared the wheels. The problem I had was with Billet Specialites wheel, as their only wheels that would clear the Wilwood set up in a 15" wheel was for a F-body in a 7" bs.
They told me that they use a different barrel on the 7" bs wheel.

I currently have Convo Telstars with 5.5" of back space and have had Convo Pros, ARE's and steel Rallye wheels all on my rear with no issues with the Wilwood brake set up
