The major holdup had been waiting to get the stuff to be able to weld the flanges on to the headers after cutting them down, all for them to be cast and not stainless so the welding would just crack. So now ordering another set of headers that are already shortened, wish I had seen them this way when I first got the headers. Could have saved me a ton of time, but par for the course

And another swing and a miss...... these headers don't fit on either side really correctly. So now I guess back to trying to get some stainless flanges and hope I can get them to weld up

Well more good news/ bad news, my buddy at the bike shop was able to get the original headers to weld up with the flanges so able to start test fitting but they also will pose some issues I assume. Also, my buddy helping me with the build took a crack at the tail lights since I think cutting is the best way to open them he wanted to try heating a prying them. I trust his judgement more than mine, so he was able to get them apart and has a better plan for the next time but another casualty

Shockingly a by in part doesn’t fit properly when bolted on!

It looks like they could be modified relatively easily. If you plan to wrap them (recommended), then extend the straight sections off from the flange.

Well that is part of the problem, the first set were too long when I got them and my buddy had suggested trimming back to the collector. Now that I have it that way, he is saying we need it close to what it was. So we will see how it looks once I get the modified ones in place, I am avoiding the wrapping and probably just going to coat all the exhaust since we can do that in house

Ordered these to hopefully get some more room and cut fabbing time down, will have to cut the t4 side off to put 3" v bands since he says he will be making them eventually but not anytime soon

Cut off the T4 to mount up the V-band so that it pulls it back from the core support, first one went very slow but pretty smooth. Second one I think my buddy was trying to cut too quick because it ended up jacking up the blade and stopping progress. But figure if I have one I can use it on both sides to mock up for the time being until the I get the second one wrapped up
