just the posi unit itself, not the whole housingWelcome to the site. The entire housing? No. It will not without serious modification. The insides, I believe, will swap over. I'd recommend a shop do it.
i was thinking of getting the moser 28 spline axles for better strengthI think so, but if I remember the f body units are 28 spline and all g body 7.5/7.625 were 26 spline until 1988. Either way, you'd need new axles along with a rebuild and bearing kit.
Those along with a rebuild kit and a Stud Girdle will make the 7.5 as beefy as you can get really without major mods. If you ever intend on using slicks, don't even bother with this rear. How much power you making right now, and how much you want to make in the long run?i was thinking of getting the moser 28 spline axles for better strength

i heard of someone talking about a wk axle as well not sure how these would workYeah, don't really waste your time on this rear end. Either invest in a 10/12 bolt from a 64-67 chevelle, or a 68-72 chevelle, a Ford 9 inch or 8.8, or an 8.5 out of a GN or 442.
