I looked into the heat only delete plate Offered by gbody parts.com . Seemed to me it was a lot of work to pull out that box , then make modifications for it all to work . So I modified my existing setup . May not be for everyone but it will give me the extra room I need for the 455 .( which by the way I pulled yesterday to address and oil leak but that’s another story)and if I can sort out the wiring I should be able to still use my heater .

I did the same but also cut the hump off the top too

I kept it so there are still two separate pieces but many can't figure out what kind of box it is since it doesn't have the hump any more.

Thanks for the pics. I have an extra box I was thinking of modifying since I’m not ready to put the ac back in and can’t stand the lines just sticking out of there

Really isn't too bad if you've ever worked with fiberglass before. I actually used paint sticks to make the mating surface between the two halves. Covered in fiberglass and resin.
