Hello I’ve been reading this forums for years but never posted. I have an 80 Malibu that im in the middle of ls swapping. Im currently replacing the inner fenders with metal trailer fenders like project sand bagger, but im keeping the a/c. Side note i am repairing the front of the box with fiberglass for more clearance around the passenger valve cover. The ac dryer hits the fenders I could chop and weld some crazy cylinder into the fender but im trying to keep it simple. Is there a condenser I could swap out from another vehicle that would come out of the heater box straight. Also i have seen repair kits for the lines but can find no info on them. If I could cut the line and use one of those that might be the ticket. Thanks any help would be great

I forgot to attach the picture of the repair kit. I don’t know which line this goes on I suspect the smaller line but can’t find any info or pictures. If it goes on the larger line then I could probably use it to straighten out the piping on the dryer. Thanks again have a nice day

Did you ever get answer for this?

A few years back I did a 87 EL Camino show truck, SBC + 700R4, headers, duals. etc..

He didn't want the HVAC so I made custom plate and for show, mounted in gauge set and remote start, for use at shows static display with hood open...

The part you show is just a compression fitting.

You can remove the HVAC and theoretically move it anywhere. The return line is less than 50 psi, the pressure line prior to orifice tube is under 300 psi. Lines are very easy to make.

One thing I liked to do when stumped is just goto local pic-a-part and walk the cars. You might find the exact fit in a 2012 Toyota or maybe 86 S10 or 2009 F150, never know....
