I just introduced myself in the newbies thread - but this is where I'll be hanging mostly.

I gave my background in the 'introduce yourself' thread, so you can see my background there -

But I scrounged up a screen used Supernatural Demon Hunter car as seen in season 2 of Supernatural. This was 'Gordon's car'..

A pretty cool find, and yes - the rumble you hear in the series is real - a true 454! I don't think I'm going to restore it, but just get it running and leave it as it was discarded by the studios.

By the way - everyone in fandom was guessing a year - but it's a true '78 :)

Supernatural is a fun show. Do you have any pics of the engine? Sounds like you're the new owner; is this your first G body?

Very first G Body - and after my brief outing with an S-10, my first 'real' Chevy', unless owning KITT from Knight Rider gives me cred.. ;)

I'll post a shot of the engine supernatural_gordonselcamino_454_engine.jpg

Pretty cool. Was KITT powered by the factory 305?

Don't tell anyone, but my car of the future has a 1991 V6 in it!

It's a good show. I really like watching it for the cars.

great start on a G body but I am surprised they used the glass gas filter. I would change that before starting the car again. One of my sons was a set designer for movies and he got some neat stuff from the sets after the movie was done but he never got any of the cars...
