RE Shipping, Strongly suggest use of USPS Priority Post with tracking. They are set up to connect with the Canadian equivalent at the border so the box has a tracking number all the way from start to finish.. Have used this method on several occasions in the recent past and it has worked well. The time frame usually works out to about a week, even allowing for the paperwork drill. If the value on the package is under a C-note, customs typically doesn't bother with it because the bite on the box isn't worth the time needed to do the processing.
That would have been before Covid, I've been waiting for a package from British Columbia Canada, 3600 miles away, since Jan. 4th and it still hasn't arrived, and that is through Canada post! Under normal circumstances it should only take 4 days!!

You can also just ground the wires. Either the gauge will move or a fuse will blow.
That's true for sure! I'm wondering if they may have been either for the cruise control or some of the pollution crap that isn't there anymore!

Just checked the VIN on the car and it came from the factory with a 305 Chevy engine, eighth digit is an H! Like someone mentioned earlier up here they did that quite often!
Pictures of the cruise control and the pollution control stuff would really help since neither are on the car now!!

I know I'm probably driving you guys nuts but, I went looking for the computer in the car and I was told about 2 different places to look one under the dash and the other behind the right front kick panel! Here's what I found, the first 5 pics are from up under the instrument panel and the last one is behind the kick panel! Really hoping someone can tell me what they both are! Thanks in advance

Dumb question, are you in Canada and was the car originally a Canadan model? In Canada during the 80's the base and mid tier G bodies did not have computers like their US counterparts. Only the top tier versions like MCSSs and GNs got computer control up there. Also Canadan Cutlasses had SBCs instead of SBOs from the factory. In short, Canadan G bodies are generally weird. All US G bodies after 1981 have computers.

Yes I am Canadian and as far as I can tell the car was sold in Canada!

In that case your car likely never had a computer.

Ran the VIN and the car was built in Quebec. Did you see the pictures I posted of the two electrical devices I found, one under the instrument panel and the other behind the right front kick panel? The deeper I get into this thing the more confused I'm becoming! LOL

The computer is located in the passenger side kick panel, it’s about 8 inches tall, 6 inches wide and about an inch and a half thick. It’s metal cased and impossible to miss.
The pictures you posted are for something else entirely, the black box with AC embossed into it isn’t it. I don’t have any idea what it does either 😅

The last picture of the silver box is a factory power lock relay.
