I love G bodys, but i like lots of other cars too. My Fave is a Willys Coupe. Im fortunate enough to own one.
This one is built for speed, not comfort. Its old school cool, I Drag Race it at Nostalgia style events.
there are no modern devices in this car. no transbrake, no electronics, not even a rev control..
A very simple Blown Injected Big Chevy powers it, running thru a Turbo 400 trans into a Ford 9" rear
ive been a best of 7.63 at 180 Mph with it, thats with a 6.71 blower... heres a few pics
this was Atco, Last yr

this is what powers it, btw i build my own engines, trans ,rears, chassis etc

Heres my girlfriends car, I built this a few years ago for her, shes owned it since new.. it is a '91
its got a good runnin aluminum headed 406 sbc in it

heres what im working on now, besides my wagon. A 1948 Merc coupe going to be a 289/c4 combo
built to cruise, this was a rust bucket,
heres when i got it home a day after a snowstorm

ive been weldin on it for a year, floors, rockers wheel wells u name it ive welded it haha still a long way to go

Nice rides man! I really love them Willy's coupes....it's like stuffing 10lbs of s*$# into a 2lb bag when they have a blown BBC.

There is a beautiful metallic purple one that runs around here in Louisville. I'm pretty sure the guy has wiped up every trophy possible! It too has a blown BBC. Every show its been at we all tell him to go home, he has enough trophies lol!!!

Hey Bryan,
Thanks for sharing pics of your beautiful Willys again. Your girlfriends ride also looks pretty lethal in it's own right. Back in the day, old school gassers were all jacked up in air and were probably squirrely as hell to drive.

I like the '48 Merc coupe. You definitely don't see many of them out there. That one looks pretty original. Sounds like you were busy practicing your welding skills on it..:D

Thanks guys!

yep that is a '50 Ford collecting dust, Good eye! it is collecting dust in somebody elses garage now tho, it was another rust bucket i welded on for almost a year as well, I did get 95% of the metal work done on it, but lost interest in finishing it when a buddy wanted to own it,more than i wanted to finish it... its his now
I bought another driver car.. a '49 Ford, albeit a 4 door, but this one i have been cruising around in and needs nothing
