If it were me, I would buy a new compressor and clutch assembly and a new manifold hose assembly. You could get them used but you would be gambling. You will need a new accumulator and a new orifice tube. You will either need to flush and pressure test or replace the evaporator and the condenser. The system has to be clean and be able to hold pressure to work and last.

Are you going to convert to R-134A? If so you will need the correct oil for the compressor and it is important all of the old mineral oil is flushed out of any old components. You will also need a liquid line. That's the hard aluminum line that runs from the evaporator to the condenser, over the fan shroud. You will have to get a used one and clean it up. I would go with Delco parts wherever possible.

Do you have all the mounting brackets for the compressor?
Go to Rock Auto and make a list of what components are needed. I got my AC Delco compressor from Amazon. I think at the time Rock Auto didn't offer AC Delco compressors.
I also replaced the heater core while I had the HVAC box apart to replace the evaporator core.
My heater core was still good, but nearly 30 yrs old. It made sense to replace it rather than having to take it all apart again.

If I go with these compressor would it work?
Yes, that Sanden compressor will work. Many feel the Sanden is a better compressor than the R4 (pancake).

I have a complete factory Chevy system in my wagon with all the brackets still on the old motor in the garage and some R12 left in the system in the car. This is not shippable, but it's complete and I am going with a Camaro serpentine system that moves the compressor to the other side. I pieced together a G/F body system using replacement parts on RockAuto.com. Texas82GP pointed me to the right hose and condenser. I don't have it charged yet because I still have to lift the body and replace the bushings.

Thinking of ordering the same AC setup for my 78 Malibu wagon.
