Hi guys
So I installed my ac components on yesterday the compressor along wit acumalator, new comdensor and pipes... So I got everything sorted out but the only thing is that the airs only blowing through the defrost.
I've researched that the little vacuum tank ball has somethin to do wit it. When i first got the car it only had the pinkish/purple plastic hose attached to it.there is suppose to be another black rubber hose I believe however i've already connected a hose from the back of the carb directly to the ball tank and still no air flow through the vents. Any tips?

Here are some pics to help y'all understand. I connected the rubber hose that's in back of the carb directly to the ball. There's also another rubber line coming out of my carb? Could that be it?

Make sure large hose to reservoir has vacuum with car idling. Then make sure there is vacuum on small nipple with engine idling. If both are good then either a bad hose to vacuum rotary switch or bad rotary switch

Generally, if you have good vacuum to the system, the rivet that holds the rotary control valve together (on the back side of the A/C control panel) gets a broken tab, allowing the disk halves to separate, making a vacuum leak. This one is out of a 3rd gen F-body, but they all work pretty much the same way:

The rivet (circled) can be replaced with an 1/2" long 8-32 screw with a Nylock nut, and everything should start working again

alright guys so i found the issue. The other line coming off the carb was connected in the wrong place once i connected it to the vacuum ball itself the air started blowing out the main vents. however now i got a lose hose from the carb and I don't know know where it connects to, any ideas?

sEND A PIC OF THE PORT
hope this helps, so where the arrows are that is where I have the disconnected lines. One of the rubber lines coming from the carb should be connected to the cleaner right? I think that's where the rubber one goes but then there's another entry for another rubber line on the cleaner, don't know if it's a big whoop to not have it on as well and if so, where would it connect to? Also the metal line coming from the transmission I believe had one of the lines connected coming from the carb, I then disconnected that one and it is what's connected to my vacuum ball currently. That's what fixed my main vents. So i don't know if my vacuum lines are properly connected.
