accel super coil cover, is it needed?

i hate this thing. i trimmed it so i can actually get the wire boots on and off the cap without loosening the screws to give me enough clearance but i'm wondering if it's even necessary. i removed the coil to trim the cover and put it back in but it just sticks out like a sore thumb in the engine compartment and i think i'd rather look at a regular coil cover than this ugly bulky thing. i need to replace the cap and rotor so i might just replace the coil cover with a regular one.

any opinions?

The cover does nothing. If you can find a way to get the coil on there with a different cover, go for it.
