Accelerator Cable Length

Hello people, the 24" accelerator cable on my GP seems to be a few inches too long. What length of cable are you guys using?

from end to end of the cable, the cable sleeve is about 16". If I look up the cable I have the correct length but it seems to be long

thanks, Rock Auto has one that is 20 3/4" so I'll order that one.....it's listed for a 4.3 engine...

do you recall what vehicles they came from?.. The cable showed up today but it has different fittings on it for the bracket we use on the carb side....

thanks for your offer but I got it sorted out. I had to grab a fitting for a master brake cylinder at my favorite yard and the cutlass had a short one so II grabbed that......then I realized I had left all my money, wallet and license back at my son's place...the guys at the yard were great about it, they offered to trade me straight up...parts for the GP.......I'll be in to pay them tomorrow...
