I'm looking at the factory manual for the dimmer Assembly and am having trouble identifying the part that could solve my woes.

My turn signal lever is not mechanically connected to the actuator rod that punches the dimmer switch.

Are the early G bodies different?
What am I missing?
Is this the part that I need?

The "rack" in the manual doesn't look like the ones for sale.

The rack runs the ignition switch actuator rod in a tilt column.

There is a plastic piece that goes between the lever and the rod to the dimmer switch, if it's a tilt column

You're welcome. I looked in my 81 and 83 GM Chevrolet service manuals, and the dang thing isn't in the exploded views

The little black arm on the wiper switch can break off and it won't let you switch from high and low beams. Mine did.

The right most black piece.
