After Market Breather

So I put on a new aftermarket breather and had to disconnect 2 vacuum lines plus the smog pump hose . When p try to plug 1 vacuum line the motor revs way up and wont idle down . WTH is going on and what can I do to correct the problem or with the stock breather have to go back on ?

Do you have a picture of the lines you are talking about?

Not at the moment . One goes to the base of the carb. I plugged it with no issues . The other is a 3 way vacuum line , its what causes the engine to idle extremely high . Its infront of the carb by the thermostat housing

Funny thing is , it runs fine with the end of the 3 way open
