That ring around the carb on your Vette air cleaner was like the one I had in my Chevy TBI one. Air cleaner got mutilated removing it.

I guess my current crappy air cleaner will have to soldier on untill I find something.

OK here you go...

I got out my parka and braved the 35* tundra like conditions!!!!

Olds 442 perfect fit, obviously.......

66 Toronado distributor interference (made for points distributor) and AC muffler interference Sux I really wanted to use this one!

Late 70's early 80's Vette hits AC bracket and PCV valve

80's Camaro FITS!!!!!!! BUT you will need a PCV valve with a 90* instead of the straight up Olds version.

Hope this helps

That 442 placement is terrible, is that the 80's version? I like my set up but will probably end up with a pan set up with the Mustang scoop.

Yes I agree, but that's the way Olds did it to fit a dual and not have it look like a Chevy.

What are you running?

Right now, I have the massive 260 powerhouse with a 260 base, the snorkel actually hit the alternator bracket so removing it helped. The top is a 10" top which fits perfect on the stock air filter. I removed the chrome hoses, leaking.

Instead of using a spacer under the air cleaner what about using a spacer under the carburetor its a thought. Oldsmobile had this same problem with there 69 W32 with A/C. There fix was a spacer under the air cleaner.

That's where my spacer is. Under the carb. That with RPM intake and the stock dual snorkel looked like *ss sitting too far up. Could barely get hose onto snorkel. Also vac motor on front snorkel hit hood.

Probably gonna get a 307 air cleaner and cut off snorkel. Put rubber seal around lip and try to get it to seal to my hood ( I have cowl induction ). Won't look 'factory' but oh well.
