If you have a 4 barrel that will fit

Make sure it has a drop base

That is false advertising that the open element gives you increased airflow and performance. My air/fuel mixture gauge told me that when I switched from an air cleaner like above to a Gm duel snorkel. The duel snorkel drew in more air than the open element.

Those top lid air filters look cool but do not perform well.

The problem is they are to thick and the bottom of the lid is to close to the choke horn not allowing the bulk of the filter to provide proper airflow into the carb.

For pictures and shows I used an air cleaner like the one you want.

For the track I will use none, my cowl induction setup or one that looks like the photo below.

You would be better off keeping what you have on it. getting a top that looks like this...

Or a Dual snorkel like pontiacgp said.

Grab a stock air cleaner ( or 2 if you can find them ) from a G body Monte SS. They have the factory ducting to pull cold air from next to the battery. If you can find a second one you can make your own dual snorkel Air Cleaner. My car pictured below but I got the idea from a post at MCSS many years ago. I made a thread on here somewhere. FWIW when I ran a holley and an open element filter in traffic my car would surge then stumble. I switched back to the qjet and factory air cleaner and those issues went away.
I picked up a complete ( but very dirty ) MCSS air cleaner a few weeks back for not much money as a spare so they are still out there.
