You'd probably be better off with no air cleaner at all. IMO the foam is too coarse to actually filter anything, and eventually will most likely break down and get sucked into the engine.

Heard some stories over the yars on how they can lead to engine fires.

Avoid avoid avoid avoid. The bigger issue is if the engine backfires, the foam element catches fire, melts and simultaneously gets sucked into your carb and intake. One backfire can ruin your carb, intake, heads, and potentially even more.

They did an engine masters episode where they compared air filters and all of the guys unanimously agreed that the only good thing about it is the nostalgic look. They ran a variety of air filters on an engine on a dyno, and this one robbed the most power.

I actually had melted spots on one. There is a reason it is so cheap.

They are extremely restrictive, I ran one many years ago because of hood clearance issues and it suffocated the engine and I ended up installing a 14 x 3 air cleaner and a scoop

Can someone tell where can I buy a smaller air filter ? I search pic on google but what size are they
