All the Alphabets want Terminal Post Connections

My ECU, TCU, and just about every other controller wants to be hooked up to the + post on the battery. Why is that?

I've been trying to hide wires where I can and the + post looks like shyte. Why can't I use a + bus hidden somewhere?

Don't overcomplicate it. I'm running an LS/4L80 with all the stock stuff, plus an amp, vacuum pump, etc. Main thing is making sure you have sufficient and clean grounds all over! My battery is in my wheelwell, but same concept for anywhere else...

I installed a similar setup as well right next to the battery up front. This is straight from a 88-98 (Edit: correct years are 88-95) body style GM truck. Costs next to nothing from a junk yard. Take the mounting bolts too as they make it easy to dig into any mounting surface.

Ahh yes, 88-95. My mistake. I picked up one of those underhood reel lights too, just trying to find a good place to mount it up.
