I have the F body sepentine set up and I have a CS 130 alternator whch sits too tall and the inner panel of the hood hits it. I "modified" the inner panel hood but that hood has a bend in it so I'm looking for another hood and want to fix the issue with the alternator. Is there a small case alternator with a high output that will mount on the bracket?

Is the F body set up the same as the one on a crate motor ? I looked at the alternator just now and it looks like it should clear.

I may have made a mistake, I might be using the CS 144 as an upgrade to the CS 130 I had....

Is there a big difference in size between the two ?

I have to go take a look to see what I have cause the mounting locations for the bolts on the 144 are not the same as 130 so the 144 should not fit the serpentine bracket.....

cs130 is considered a small case, cs144 is larger and most have issues with hitting valve cover unless stamped steel. I have cs130 on my sbc in cutlass with serpentine system and does not hit the hood
