Alternator question

Choosing a alternator I notice a lot of alternator on submit racing is consider 1 wire connection. I know I have two wires which connects to my alternator trying to go with a bigger alternator maybe a 140 or 150 amp
For music wise to be able to run everything trying to see which one is mines consider ?
Can y’all point me in the right direction
Or help me choose one that’s a direct bolt on

I would see if there is a local alternator/starter repair shop in your area and check with them...usually better work and cheaper than the mass rebuilders stuff.

If there are they want to high in price
What is wire connected to the back with the red washer ?use for

I run 3 wire on my stuff, but mine have minimal added electronics.

Most of the "one wire" alternators simply have a rubber plug where the 2 pin connectors go. You can see it in the Summit pics,
None in my area

What the hell area are you in that doesn't have an electric motor shop? They aren't as prevalent as they once were, but there should at least be ONE around. You get what you pay for in electronics. Buy the cheapest you can find, and it will last and/or perform accordingly.
The red wire with the craptastic connection is your charge lead to the battery. I would fix that before changing the alternator; it might be your whole problem.
