Aluminum hood

Have a chance to get a factory aluminum hood for my cutlass. Was wondering how rare they are and what would be a good price. He bought it because he was told it would fit his 78 Regal(nope) Even had it painted to match his car.

I'm not sure on price, but they're not plentiful by any means similar to the aluminum core supports. You'd think someone would test fit before paint, but I guess not.

The 78 to 80 are common. The 81 to 88 is a different story, much rarer.

The color is playing tricks with me it almost looks raised in the center like a malibu hood

Agreed. I searched for quite a while before finding one. The hood springs are usually missing when you do find one.....

Doesn't look to have the lines of 81-up. Looks like 78-80

That one will not fit 81-88 two doors it will only fit 78-80 two doors and 78-87 four doors.
