The width is the same whether they are 0 offset or 8mm offset. My American Racing wheels are 17x8 on the back of my 87 Cutlass. They are 4-1/2" BS and 0 offset. I just installed them with 255/45/ZR17 tires and they clear perfectly.

+8 will have the tire rub the frame in the rear if you're running 245 or wider unless the axle is perfectly centered (as-produced, they are not)

Weird, I like the 17/18 inch, but the 14/15 just look odd to me...spokes are so short.
