Another One Bites The Dust

Went to the yard twice in two days. This coupe was buried in the back of the yard for years. Yesterday I found it like this. One step away from the crusher. It had a SBC with an aluminum intake, no carb. Interior was gutted. Someone bought the motor as a core.

If it was it had to be 20 years ago. I saw it in the yard years ago and it was rough back then. It kept getting moved around until it got stuck in the back. Now its getting filled up with crap heading to the shredder.

It does look vaguely familiar...and the paint screams mid/late 80s

The J2000 (from 1986) creator Rich Dobbertin is still active and just came out with this suspension kit last year.

That's about when I built a model kit of it. I can't believe it's still around!

The shell in the JY certainly had a lot of work put into it at one time.

The Dobbertin J2000 is still around.
