I had a 1985 oldsmobile cutlass with a rear spoiler, loved how it looked. Long story short, sold that car, don't know where it is. I recently bought a 1978 buick regal and I wanna add a spoiler to it and figured that would be my best match. Any input would be greatly appreciated. From Canada, eh if that makes a difference

You want one from an 83 or 84 Hurst/Olds.

85 Cutlass did not have a spoiler. You'll probably have to pay hefty sum for a genuine H/O spoiler nowadays. But you can buy repros for around 300 bucks USD.

Mine is a firebird spoiler. But it is more modded than most people do.
I pulled the mounting studs. And epoxied in pieces of threaded rod. Trimed two pieces of treated 2x8 the shape of the pedestals. But just a bit smaller. Fiberglass matt the wood and pedestals together and finish the body work. Gives you a nice rise because otherwise firebird spoilers are almost too low and the curve down almost rubs. Also on the bottom of the decklid use a hole saw to make an access hole and put the nuts directly to the the hood skin otherwise it can dent the decklid in
