Once again I’m having trouble finding another trim part. It’s a plastic trim that’s help in place but screws. Would love some help.

That's the weather strip retainer that mounts first then the strip gets glued/pressed into. Wish I knew the real name for it.

Look under Roof Rail Weather Strip Retainer or Roof Drip Scalp Moldings.
Both terms are used in my 79 & 87 Body manuals.

You probably won't find them new, but if you can find ANY G-body hard top in the wrecking yards, they should be readily available. Someone went snakeshit with the weatherstrip adhesive on yours. Damn! Just need a tiny thin bead.

you think I can clean it up a bit and just reuse it or would you suggest trying to find some off a junker?

I used 3M 08984 General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner and a small brass "Detail Brush" to clean the weatherstrip adheasive from the channels on my 88 Super Sport. Looks like the same people who glued yours in practiced on my car. Took about 2 cans to clean the channels on a T Top car.
